Hello Wonderful Fosters,
We have so much to be thankful this month! The Dog Foster Team has made it a priority to get some of our longer stay dogs adopted and this month, it happened!
PLACEMENTS:
We had 217 intakes and 64 transfers to new fosters, for a total of 284 placements. Notable placements include: Achilles, Dee, Sebastian, Ruby Woo, and Donnie Barko!
ADOPTIONS:
We had 179 adoptions. Notably, in the month of November the following dogs found their fureverhomes: Alicia Silverbone, Koby, Joshua, Fleur, Twin, Noche and long stays: Dash (319 net days) Alonso (543 net days) and Boscoe (1054 net days).
SHOUT OUTS
Shout out to Anya Choy! Every week Anya is the one that faithfully creates the adopted foster dog albums and posts them on Facebook and sends thank you emails to our fosters. She’s an unsung hero, and we wanted to make sure everyone knew about her and her efforts!
HIGHLIGHTS, ANNOUNCEMENTS, AND INITIATIVES:
Our beloved Tito has a furever home with his foster!! Thank you to Catherine for her devotion to this guy!
We’ve improved our collaboration with the Wellness Clinic Team, allowing us to better track Wellness Clinic visits!

GOAL FOR DECEMBER:
We have filled our volunteer positions on the Dog Foster Placement Team! With so many dogs added to foster care, our team is still in need. We are specifically looking for the following position:
Dog Foster Events Team Co-Lead
We have put out the call multiple times through our normal routes, but we have not been successful in recruiting for this position. Please help us by spreading the word. If you have any friends or family who are interested in volunteering, please encourage them to reach out about this position to dog-foster-manager@austinpetsalive.org.
