APA! Dog Foster Team Members

Did you know that APA!'s Dog Foster Team runs primarily on volunteer support? With only five full time staff members and two part time staffers, we rely heavily on our 50+ volunteers dedicated to our team who help make the day to day run smoothly!

Danica Kubick

Dog Foster Manager (Staff)

This position oversees the entire Dog Foster Program and all its teams. The Manager and Assistant Manager help to make the program function on its own and in conjunction with the other lifesaving programs at APA!

After nine years as an attorney in Washington, D.C., Danica picked up and moved to Austin with her husband, Ryan, and her two cats, Lemekin and Pele, to attend a plant-based culinary school, moonlighting as an APA! dog walker. "Chefing" didn't stick, but APA! and the Dog Foster Program did!

Regan came to Austin from Ohio for her acting career, but she fell in love with a naughty, tan and white pittie named Rocket and experienced what we fondly call a "foster fail"! Regan comes from working on the behavior team at Austin Animal Center but couldn't get fostering out of her life, hence her move to APA!'s foster team.
